The space between lessons matters

An empty calendar slot isn’t always a bookable lesson.

If the previous lesson ends across town, an open square can still create an impossible day. RouteOS brings your operating rules into the booking decision.

A calendar sees an opening.

Instructor is free

RouteOS checks the fit.

  • The trip from the previous lesson
  • Pickup area and lesson duration
  • Instructor availability and required buffers
  • The trip to the next commitment

Configured vehicle capacity, service connections and package rules remain part of the booking flow.

Real availability, not empty calendar boxes.

Before your walkthrough

A few things
owners ask.

A closer look at scheduling, setup and how RouteOS fits your school.

Who is RouteOS built for?

RouteOS is built for driving-school owners and operators who need to connect lesson scheduling with instructors, students, packages, payments and the travel between lessons.

Can I use RouteOS with one instructor or several locations?

Yes. Schools can configure multiple instructors and locations, with their own schedules and service connections. Your subscription allowance depends on the general staff seats and active locations you need.

How does route-aware availability work?

RouteOS starts with available lesson times, then checks the configured lesson location, instructor, adjacent appointments, travel time and buffers. Your school can offer all feasible times or narrow availability to preferred starts.

What happens when a proposed lesson does not fit the route?

With travel rules enabled, a time that fails the route checks is withheld. RouteOS checks again when the booking is submitted. If the schedule has changed or the route cannot be verified, the booking is rejected and another time can be selected.

Can students and parents manage lessons?

Students can view appointments, orders and package scheduling units, and use the booking or change options their school enables. Connected guardians have their own accounts and can join dependent lesson conversations. Guardian access does not give blanket control of the student’s account.

How are vehicles, pickup areas and instructor availability handled?

Your school sets instructor hours, service connections, pickup policies and buffers. Vehicles can be configured as capacity-limited assets connected to services and instructors. Booking checks use those configured resources; the school remains responsible for keeping the setup accurate.

Does RouteOS manage packages, payments and remaining lessons?

Yes. Packages connect purchased lesson quantities with orders, payments and scheduling. Students can see how many package lessons have been scheduled and schedule remaining units. Enabled schedule-later services preserve the purchased lesson details for later booking.

Can RouteOS connect to Google Calendar?

Yes, when connected. Eligible RouteOS appointments and updates can be sent to an instructor’s selected Google calendar. Events imported from selected calendars block instructor availability. Staff should review existing lessons if an external calendar changes and creates a conflict.

Can I import existing student, booking or payment data?

Student CSV import supports field mapping for names, email, phone and notes, with an option to update existing records. Email is required for this import. Booking and payment history need a separate review; a complete migration is not promised by the student importer.

What does RouteOS cost?

Pricing combines a monthly membership with any additional general staff seats and active locations. General seats cover administrators, instructors and other permitted back-office roles. The walkthrough covers the current price, included allowances and any additions before you create your workspace.

Is there a trial?

Ask about the current trial terms during your walkthrough. We’ll clarify what is included and any payment requirements before you create your workspace. Requesting a walkthrough does not require payment details.

What happens after I request a walkthrough?

You’ll see an on-page confirmation after your request is saved. The confirmation links to Calendly so you can choose a meeting time. Your meeting is booked only after you complete that step; Calendly provides the confirmation and rescheduling details.

Does RouteOS determine whether my school is legally compliant?

RouteOS applies configured operational rules. Your school remains responsible for legal, regulatory, insurance, curriculum and licensing obligations for its students, instructors, vehicles and services.
