RouteOS Privacy Policy

Effective Date: [04/23/26] Last Updated: [04/25/26]

RouteOS (“RouteOS,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) provides software and online booking tools for driving schools. RouteOS helps driving schools manage student bookings, instructor availability, scheduling, route planning, and related administrative workflows.

In most cases, the driving school is the business collecting information from students, instructors, and customers through its own RouteOS-powered booking page or dashboard. RouteOS provides the technology platform that stores, processes, and helps manage that information on behalf of the driving school.

This Privacy Policy explains how RouteOS handles information through RouteOS, RouteOS.net, RouteOS-powered booking pages, dashboards, and related services.

By using RouteOS, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Our Role

RouteOS is a software provider for driving schools. Driving schools use RouteOS to collect and manage information from their students, customers, instructors, and staff.

When a student books a lesson through a RouteOS-powered page, the student is generally providing information to the driving school they are booking with. RouteOS processes and stores that information so the driving school can manage bookings, schedules, routes, and communications.

RouteOS may technically access driving school dashboards and stored data when needed to operate the platform, provide customer support, troubleshoot issues, maintain security, improve reliability, or comply with legal obligations. We do not use this access to sell personal information.

2. Information Processed Through RouteOS

The information processed through RouteOS depends on how each driving school configures and uses the platform.

A. Student and Customer Information

Driving schools may collect and manage student or customer information through RouteOS, such as:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Pickup address or lesson location entered by the student
  • Booking details, including selected service, date, time, instructor, and appointment history
  • Account login information, if the student creates an account
  • Notes, forms, or additional fields requested by the driving school

Students may enter their own pickup address or lesson location so the driving school can schedule lessons and RouteOS can help calculate efficient instructor routes and availability.

B. Driving School Information

RouteOS may process information about driving schools, such as:

  • School name
  • Business contact information
  • Staff and instructor information
  • Services, pricing, availability, and scheduling rules
  • Booking and customer records managed through the platform
  • Billing, account, and administrative information
  • Communications with RouteOS support

C. Instructor Information

Driving schools may enter or manage instructor information in RouteOS, including:

  • Instructor name
  • Contact information
  • Work availability
  • Assigned appointments
  • Route and schedule information
  • Calendar connection data, if the instructor or school chooses to connect a Google Calendar

D. Google Calendar Data

RouteOS may allow instructors or driving schools to optionally connect Google Calendar. If enabled, RouteOS may access calendar information needed to sync availability, prevent scheduling conflicts, display booked times, and manage appointments.

Google Calendar connection is optional and may be disconnected according to the settings available through RouteOS or Google.

RouteOS only uses Google Calendar data to provide calendar-related functionality requested by the driving school, instructor, or user.

E. Google Login Data

RouteOS may offer optional Google login for users. If a user chooses to log in with Google, RouteOS may receive basic account information from Google, such as:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Google account identifier
  • Profile picture, if provided by Google

This information is used to authenticate the user, create or access their account, and provide the requested services.

F. Technical and Usage Information

When users access RouteOS, we may automatically process limited technical information, such as:

  • IP address
  • Browser type
  • Device type
  • Operating system
  • Pages visited
  • Log data
  • Date and time of access
  • General usage activity within the platform

This information helps us maintain security, troubleshoot issues, improve performance, and protect the platform.

3. How Information Is Used

RouteOS processes information to provide software services to driving schools and their users, including to:

  • Allow students to book driving lessons online
  • Help driving schools manage schedules, students, instructors, and appointments
  • Calculate efficient instructor routes based on student-entered pickup locations
  • Display available booking times based on scheduling rules, instructor availability, and optional calendar connections
  • Sync with Google Calendar when enabled
  • Allow users to log in with Google when selected
  • Send booking confirmations, reminders, notifications, and administrative messages
  • Provide customer support
  • Maintain platform security and prevent misuse
  • Debug technical issues and improve platform reliability
  • Comply with legal obligations

RouteOS does not sell personal information.

4. Location and Address Information

Students or driving schools may enter pickup addresses, drop-off addresses, or lesson locations into RouteOS.

RouteOS processes this information to support booking, scheduling, instructor routing, and route optimization for the driving school.

This information may be used to:

  • Determine whether a booking fits within an instructor’s route
  • Estimate route efficiency
  • Help driving schools manage student pickup and drop-off logistics
  • Improve appointment availability and instructor scheduling

RouteOS does not collect continuous live location data from students unless a specific feature is separately enabled and disclosed. Student pickup addresses are based on information entered into the platform by the student, driving school, or authorized user.

5. Google API Services

RouteOS may use Google services, including Google Login and Google Calendar integrations, when users choose to enable them.

RouteOS’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

We do not use Google user data for advertising. We do not sell Google user data. We only use Google user data to provide user-facing features that the user chooses to enable, such as login, account access, calendar availability, and calendar syncing.

6. How Information Is Shared

RouteOS only shares information when necessary to provide the platform, support driving schools, comply with the law, or protect our services.

Information may be shared with:

A. The Driving School Using RouteOS

When a student books through a RouteOS-powered booking page, the information entered by the student is made available to the driving school they are booking with. This allows the school to provide lessons, contact the student, manage appointments, and fulfill services.

B. Authorized Instructors and Staff

Driving schools may allow instructors, staff, or administrators to access student and booking information needed to perform their roles.

C. RouteOS Personnel and Support

RouteOS personnel may access dashboard data when reasonably necessary to provide support, troubleshoot technical issues, investigate security concerns, maintain the platform, or improve service reliability.

D. Service Providers

We may use trusted third-party service providers to help operate RouteOS, such as hosting, cloud infrastructure, email delivery, analytics, payment processing, security, and support tools.

These providers may only access information as needed to perform services for us and are not permitted to use the information for their own unrelated purposes.

E. Legal and Safety Reasons

We may disclose information if required to do so by law, legal process, court order, government request, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect RouteOS, users, driving schools, students, instructors, or others.

7. Data Hosting and Security

RouteOS uses cloud infrastructure, including private AWS server environments, to host and operate the platform.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.

However, no online system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. Driving schools and users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of login credentials and for using strong passwords and secure account practices.

8. Data Retention

Information processed through RouteOS is retained for as long as necessary to provide the platform, support driving schools, maintain business records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and operate the platform securely.

Because driving schools collect and manage student information through RouteOS, each driving school may have its own retention practices and legal obligations. If you are a student and want your information deleted, corrected, or accessed, you may need to contact the driving school you booked with. RouteOS may assist the driving school in responding to such requests where appropriate.

9. User Choices and Controls

Depending on your role and account settings, you may be able to:

  • Update account information
  • Edit booking information
  • Disconnect Google Calendar
  • Stop using Google login and use another available login method
  • Request access, correction, or deletion of certain personal information
  • Unsubscribe from certain non-essential communications

Some information may need to be retained for legal, security, fraud prevention, accounting, or legitimate business reasons.

10. Cookies and Similar Technologies

RouteOS may use cookies and similar technologies to:

  • Keep users logged in
  • Remember preferences
  • Protect accounts and sessions
  • Understand platform usage
  • Improve performance and reliability

Users may be able to control cookies through their browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect platform functionality.

11. Payments

If RouteOS or a RouteOS-powered booking page allows payments, payment information may be processed by third-party payment processors. RouteOS does not intentionally store full payment card numbers unless specifically stated through a payment feature. Payment processors handle payment data according to their own privacy policies and security practices.

12. Children’s Privacy

RouteOS is used by driving schools, and some students may be minors depending on local driving education rules. When a minor uses a RouteOS-powered booking page, the driving school is responsible for obtaining any required parental or guardian consent under applicable law.

RouteOS does not knowingly process information from children in a manner that is not permitted by law. If you believe information has been collected from a child without proper authorization, please contact the driving school involved or contact RouteOS so we can help direct the request appropriately.

13. Driving School Responsibilities

Driving schools using RouteOS are responsible for how they collect, use, disclose, and manage student information through their own business operations.

Driving schools should ensure that their privacy practices, consent processes, booking forms, communications, and legal notices comply with applicable laws and regulations.

RouteOS provides technology tools, but each driving school remains responsible for its direct relationship with its students, customers, instructors, and staff.

14. International Users

RouteOS may process and store information in the United States or other locations where our service providers operate. By using RouteOS, users understand that their information may be transferred to and processed in locations outside of their state, province, or country.

15. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date above. If changes are significant, we may provide additional notice through the platform, by email, or by other reasonable means.
